Hi, I’m Catarina. I’m a Graphic Designer & Visual Strategist.

Why I do what I do

I knew I wanted more than a corporate career (fun fact, in a 'past life,' I spent a year at EY). I dreamed of turning ideas into visuals that spark change.

With over 5 years of experience in the creative industry and a Masters degree in Design and Visual Culture, I’ve learned how to transform ideas into visuals that matter.

Now, as a freelancer, I work with organisations aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to visually tell their stories. And I’d love to help yours, too!

Research Institution, Portugal

Improving healthcare through clinical research

"The Cardiovascular Centre of the University of Lisbon (CCUL), is a biomedical research institute committed to improve the health and health care worldwide by following the standard of excellence in research, clinical care and medical education."

This project consisted of designing a biannual report that showcases the scientific production and activities developed by CCUL during the years of 2019 and 2020.

European Women On Boards (EWOB)

Nonprofit, Belgium

Driving systemic change for gender equality in leadership since 2013

EWOB has influenced major policies such as the EU Directive on Gender Balance in Corporate Boards. Since 2022, I’ve supported their mission by:

Leading a full rebrand, creating comprehensive and cohesive brand guidelines.

Creating marketing assets for both digital and print, including social media graphics, landing pages, presentations, reports, flyers, and more.

Designing corporate merchandising that reflects their purpose and values.

Conscious Marketing Movement (CMM)

Startup, Estonia

Transforming marketing from manipulative to conscious

Backed by an EU-awarded fellowship and co-funded projects, CMM leads the way in redefining ethical marketing. Since 2024, I’ve supported their mission by:

Redefining graphic design principles to align with conscious marketing, including giving a strategy workshop to share these ideas.

Building on their existing visual identity while creating a new visual identity for key projects, such as the Conscious Mind Summit.

Communication assets for both digital and print, including websites, social media graphics, presentations, reports, flyers, and more — I can create the assets you need to communicate your message and reach the right audience.

Here’s what you can expect when you work with me:

  • We’ll start with a collaborative conversation to understand your business from all angles — your audience, peers, partners, inspiration, and the design direction you envision. This step ensures every visual we create is rooted in strategy and purpose.

  • With a solid foundation in place, we’ll start bringing your visuals to life. This includes everything you need — like your logo, social media assets, presentations, print materials or any other design elements you’ve requested. We’ll work together through revisions to make sure it’s exactly what you envision.

  • Once everything is approved, your visuals will be ready to use! I will package all the files and send them to you, ready for all channels. We will also have a final call to review the project, answer your questions, and make sure you are happy with everything.

Many of my clients work with me again because I value good relationships, even for small projects.
